Accession Policy

Mission 

The Accession Policy Directorate supports and advises the Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness on policies and programs for recruiting and accessing officer and enlisted personnel. The directorate also provides guidance and manages enlistment standards, development and use of screening tools, ensures recruiter access to high schools and colleges, and analyzes recruiting resources. Additionally, it oversees the US Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) and works to sustain the All-Volunteer Force.
